Sherwood Dental Practice has celebrated scooping two national awards from 'Dentistry' magazine. Emily Cameron, Managing Director of FMC and Publisher of Dentistry Magazine said "These awards have become the biggest awards event in the dental profession with the highest number of entries ever."
The Dentistry Awards are designed to recognise outstanding excellence in dentistry on a regional and national basis. Practices are short listed following scrutiny of entries by a panel of eighteen distinguished judges that are recognised as being at the top of the Dental Profession.
The entire dental team attended the Black Tie function at The Athena Theatre in Leicester on 7th December 2007. The function was attended by almost 700 dental professionals who were treated to a champagne reception and a four course silver service meal prior to the ceremony itself, presented by celebrity host Roy Walker.
Many practices that had travelled from all over the Country and Ireland were on tenterhooks throughout the evening before the winners were revealed from the short listed entries.
Principal and practice owner Dr. Saaqib Ali was announced as the Best Young Dentist in the Midlands 2007. The 32 year old dentist said’. "This award is testament to the wonderful team I have supporting me and the hard work they put in looking after our clients. The quality of care we offer is reflected by the fact that we register almost five hundred new patients a month by personal recommendation. Winning these two awards is fantastic achievement that we are all very proud of."
The practice was then announced as The Best Dental Team in the Midlands 2007. The manager Miss Nicky Gray said ‘We all really wanted Dr. Ali to win as he has worked so hard putting such a wonderful practice for his staff and patients together. We were all holding hands round the tables and when they announced his name the whole team went mad. When they announced us as the best team as well we couldn’t believe it. We were all up on our feet cheering and screaming.’
Justine Perry the senior nurse at Sherwood Dental Practice celebrated her twenty year anniversary with the practice this year and said, "This is the icing on the cake for me knowing that our efforts have been recognised on a national level by a panel of top judges."

Band 2 Course of treatment

This covers everything listed in Bands 1 above, plus any further treatments such as fillings, root canal work or if your dentist needs to take out one or more of your teeth.
Band 3 Course of treatment
£198.00
This covers everything listed in Band 1 and 2 above, plus crowns, dentures or bridges.
Urgent treatment
£16.20
If you require urgent care, but your urgent treatment needs more than one appointment to complete, you will only need to pay one charge of £16.20

"Dr Ali is the only dentist I have ever had who makes me laugh while I am in the chair. He is the most precise and careful dentisit I have ever had and over my long life. I have had many some in the 1940’s and 1950’s who were real hatchet men.
Dr Ali has saved my sanity because I no longer fear coming for my treatment. He is a great chap and I love him to bits."

My daughter had an accident at school where she was hit by a golf ball .This resulted in her breaking her front tooth cutting open her lips.
I telephoned the practice and immediately they said to bring her in.
Dr Ali came out as soon as we arrived and instantly reassured Rebecca, myself and her father that her booth could be repaired. Rebecca was instantly at ease with Dr Ali which reassured us as parents .Rebecca was treated with excellent professional care, she was told by Dr Ali of everything he was going to do.
Dr Ali has since followed up and cared for Rebecca, always reminding us and her of any concerns and to contact him at any time.
